Morning tv week

This week was good. Our job was to come to school and go straight to the tv room. We all got to go on tv this week, talking about school announcements, upcoming events, etc. Also we were all able to do computer, meaning each of us got to type things were supposed to say from bulletin onto computer so we know what to say on Ilima tv in the morning.

My highlight of the week was having to feel more comfortable or used to being on tv. I went on twice this week, I was scared for the first and second time but not really the third because I knew what to do and say and i was pretending like it was only US not everyone in the whole school. My lowlight of the week was messing up on intros. Letter were too big, and were out the box when it was supposed to fit into a certain box and on one slide it said " periods of the day are.. " not " periods are " but I know how to fix it next time

My lesson learned for the week is to make sure i ask someone what they think about the intro. Like if any of the letters are too big or too small, if it's centered or not, and if the way it's worded out is correct,  before it's ever burned so that I know wether it needs to be changed, so that there's no mistakes for intro. And I should memorize it so I know what to do the next time. I should've known by now, but I guess I didn't, but next time I'll know what to do, but by far it was a good week. 

Id's week

This week was good. our job for the week was to come in before or at 7:15, to reprint Id's for those who lost or broke there's. So when they come in for a new one, we would ask for there first 3 letters of their LAST NAME, type it through, and print. Also, with there five dollars given and name written down on the folder so we know and have a track of who bought a new one, which is always several ppl a day. And we did Zumba in the morning, to get the most participants. This week kinda went by smoothly

My highlight of the week, was getting to be at school on time for the WHOLE WEEK. and having no mistakes. Usually, I wouldn't be able to leave early, but I guess this week I was, so i was able to. And since I've learned from my mistakes from the past weeks of doing Id's,I had no mistakes for Id's this week because I knew what to do, and I remembered what's right from wrong. As an example, I knew that when I write names down, it goes last name then first. And my lowlight of the week was having to hear my group leader, telling me to put away my phone, to where it can't be seen.

My lesson learned for the week, is to never go on my phone or have it out, seen while working. This is what I. Learned because one day through your the week, I was on it looking through things, when I wasn't supposed to because then people would think were just playing around, not working. then it would've affected mr.ing, then our group leaders. And eventhough I wasn't on it, but out on the table, sitting there.. I was told to put it away again, because maybe it would still be a distraction, but now I know, but other than that this week was alright (: 

Music week

This week wasn't as bad , but it was okay. I first started the week off still on probation, until Tuesday morning. I got off of probation and was finally able to work with my group, period 1. This week, we worked on music for morning and wiki, and we had less errors than any other week.

My highlight of the week was being able to work again because being on probation sucked, but I learned from it. it was my fault, and I now know what to do from now on. My lowlight of the week, was having to hear the music stop in the middle of the song, when that shouldn't have happened. I'm not saying it was any of us who did it, but it do happen for a strange reason. It is kind of embarrassing because were the one who stands up for the school, and all eyes return on us when mistakes like this happen.

My lesson learned for this week, is keep an eye on what you're doing, and come to school before 7 : 15 ; if I keep an eye out one what I do, I would be more focused and my group and I probably wouldn't have mistakes or anything bad to happen, also things would go by smoothly. But also, it's good to come school before 7:15 ALWAYS. why? Because then were able to set up correctly, and if were stuck on something like why music isn't playing ? Then we will have a small amount of time to think it out, then figure it out. And music wouldn't be as complicated, and played right at 7:15. This was a good week, hoping to continue to have weeks like this.

Assignment Blog #2

This assignment was a PowerPoint explaining our ideas and about us, such as, personal information, new ideas, what to offer ( leadership ) , etc.  But most importantly, video essays. Our video essays had included things we like to do, what kind of person we are, a video of our talent, inspiration, etc, it was based on photography and along I had pictures / 2 time elapse videos to prove that, photoraphy was my talent besides dancing.. It couldn't be something too long or too short, 3 minutes at least. 

My highlight of this project, which was the video essay was being able to talk about us, and being able to be creative. This wasn't too complicated or too simple, to me .. it was actually fun. In this video essay, it was all about me, and many explanations. Also, we were able to be creative. To show that I was creative, I did background music, font editing, go pro use, etc.. My lowlight of this project was not explaining more and not reaching 3 minutes. I at least tried my hardest though. This could all change, by putting more details into what I was talking about things more and deeper.

My lesson learned for this project is to always talk deep into things. I know this because, if I was to talk about myself more, with good explanations, you guys would probably be more intrested and would know / understand a lot more. Also, it would've made my video essay to the right time limit, which was 3 minutes.. but right now, I only had 2 minutes and something seconds. I could always apply this, and I'll remember to do so next time. I had met all GLOS, because I've looked at te GLOS before I started this project, so I knew exactly what to do and have but not quite glo #4 because once again, I didn't have AS MUCH of my own creativity although I tried. I had some slanted words, about 2 or 3 but it wasn't good enough, could've done better.

What I would change in my video essay, is how it's applied, and things we had to talk about. I think that i would put more effort in explaining myself about ME, and my talent as well . but most importantly, I would change what we had to talk about, because I would've done better if I were to talk about leadership, and just a little about me. I would have more ideas, and I would know how to explain it.

Individual Jobs week

this week was okay. From Tuesday to Friday, we all had Individual jobs. For example, I had lunch music Tuesday, and ID's on wenesday. But since I didn't finish AR I got put on probabation, which mean  I had to stop working.  For lunch music, I had to come in during wiki to upload music to my playlist, and lunch I had to walk it to the cafe and connect it. Then I picked up later, 5minutes before second lunch was finished. And for Id's , it was a morning and wiki job, my partners and I had to come in so we could give students new Id's in case lost or broken. I had no problems doing them.

My highlight of the week, was being able to do things on my own. This week was a week to see where we're at, at things. I think that I did well with the jobs, hoping that I could get back to working again. Also, my lowlight of the week was getting out on probabation. It's my fault because I wasn't focused on reading, but now that I realize I'm out on probabation I am more focused. Me not being able to work isn't good because our grades gets low. I do get worried about failing, but it's my fault and I'm still gonna always put effort to get things done. Also, I haven't came in on Thursday because I wasn't sure if I had to or not, but I should've just went in anyways because it's MY grades that I need to change and focus on. These things happened because i wasn't a self directed learner, and chose the wrong decisions. now I know what to do, and when to do it.

My lesson learned for the week is to focus on the main things. I think that this is what I learned because throughout the week, i wasn't very focused. I kept talking to others, even though if was trying to bring my grades up, read, and get off probabation. If I focus more on my reading, maybe I will be able to do well on a test. And maybe if I think more about my work, then I might be able to raise my grade up to all a's and b's, and I wouldn't be on probabation. This was kinda one of the worst weeks, but I know how to prepare myself, and what should be done. I hope to get off probabation next week, so I will be more focused and smarter. 

Welcome Social

This week was great. Our new job was Id's. my group and I came before 7:15 this whole week, and helped students get new or another id for school. Also, we had to seperate and fold our leadership yellow ts by size and separate welcome socials prizes, to make it look organized. we had to prepare for welcome social. We set up everything for it, and got our very own jobs. For example, my job was to set up music, like the speakers and connecting wires and making sure the music was working well and to play the playlist for welcome social. Also, during our period one, we had to pack 50 groups of different types of candy as prizes for the students if they won something for w.s

My highlight of the week was being able to feel like we welcomed back everyone and completing ALL tasks. Today, was welcome social. The objective was making sure we welcomed them back and for them to have they're most fun. I feel like, we did exactly what we had to do because I saw all smiles and laughters. And we all have completed our tasks. For an example, period one and I finished our tasks easily and Taylor and I worked well with doing music today. We really never had much difficulties this week but one of my lowlights of the week was not knowing what way to fill out the paper for Id's. At first I put first name then last name, but I actually had to put last then first. so we ended up writing over it in bold, but we shouldn't have. But I learned from it.

My lesson learned for the week was look or read before you do it. if I looked at how the other names was written on the paper attached to the folder, ( for Id's ) then maybe I wouldn't have made a mistake, but instead I jus went on and wrote it .. but now I have learned from it and know what to do, when this job comes back to us. Another thing I learned was working together is always better. when I work with people, things get done way easier and faster. And that's what I like about it because I learn and have less trouble. 

summary of the week

This whole week was okay. We had a new job, which was Ilima TV. We had to come early before 7:15 so we can do the tv intros. and do the setup, so that we know what to do and that it's done before the students got to class. Also, we had a leadership reunion of 2014, it was where all the past leadership classmates shared something they kept or remembered from they're years back then at Ilima. And created so much laughter and fun. later that night, we had open house. All we did was stand around, waiting for any questions to come to us and greetings. Also, we had to create our welcome social flyers that can be posted up, and student will be able to see and probably would be interested.

My highlight of the week was getting closer to everyone and being able to come early. Usually, i wouldn't be comfortable telling everyone things but after I realized about how close we were getting, i felt like I could now. Also, I wouldn't be able to come early because late wake ups or my parents, but it's not they're fault ! So I chose to change that somehow, and it did. My lowlight of the week, was having to see my group and I struggling on somethings, especially 

Friday. We had done many mistakes that day, but we shouldn't have.

My lesson learned of the week was do things ahead of time, and focus on what you do! I think this is exactly what I learned throughout the week because this first time or week of doing tv, didn't go so well. we had some mistakes, like having the mic turned on, intros being shown up on tv, and the order of the announcements we say. Intros should've been done before the actual day we go on tv, so we know for sure it works, and we should know that reminders are always after the other announcements that are similar, it just kills it. Also, our bodies and faces made us look boring, so next time we need to smile and sit up straight because were the ones representing the whole school, but this week has been okay. and now I've learned from my mistakes
