This assignment blog will be all about our Personal bio cubes. These bio cubes first started off with write-ups for our sides, had of course six sides that included.. our background, personality, significance,
obstacles, quotation, and a picture of ourselves. The background side is about us, and what we like to do, personality side is what we are and things to explain or relate to us, significance side is what really matters and what's important to you, obstacles side is an explanation of what distracts you and what is always in you're way, and the quotation side is a quote that relates to ourselves and an explanation why it does. And of course our own picture of us. So this whole bio cube pretty much explains all about us as ourselves.
My highlight of this assignment was getting to be creative. we first had to put together a box, and use any color paper for each side.. I used bright neon colors and glued it all together. Then we had to glue our typed paragraphs that explained everything on each side and after all that was completed.. we had a choice of taping all around it or not, but I chose to so that it lasts longer and so it looks neater. My lowlight of this assignment, was having a hard time cutting and taping. When i was cutting the squares out, it was either crooked or not the right measurement so if always have to do it all over again so that I'm able to cover each part of the box so it's not shown. Also, taping was a little difficulty for me because as I taped it and pressed on, air bubbles would start to show and it made my bio cube look ugly but yet it was still completed. So what can be changed is the way i tape it, because i could've went along as i tape it down, and to maybe add more details to my paragrpahs because some of my paragraphs were small but could've had alittle more details.
My lesson learned for this assignment is to always put effort into every asignment that we do because everything that we do is graded and all of others see what WE do. I'm sure we all wouldn't want our things to look ghetto with no effort because it'll either look like we didn't care about what we did, or that we were rushing on this assignment. honestly I wasn't, but I could've redone it because my taping ended up havin air bubbles in it which made my bio look unclean, but I'm glad that it was at least completed and this is what I learned from this assignment.
Glo 1 is self directed learner, we had to do our assignment without being told and turned in ON TIME. glo 2 is community contributor, when we presented it to the class or group, we had to respect other presentations and pay full attention. glo 3 is complex thinker, we had to try things on our own, so we had to make sure that we were able to use multiple strategies and do our assignment responsibly. glo 4 is quality producer, meaning that our assignment had to be reliable and very understandable for others to recognize. glo 5 is effective communicator, so we had to make sure we were an effective listener for each presentation and expressed our ideas well. and glo 6 is effective and ethical use of technology, also meaning that we were able to use the technology for example, printer and computer responsibly and safely. To me, I applied this all well enough to this assignment.
We presented our bio cubes in many ways. We first presented our bio cubes in the classroom ( A-101 ) it wasn't that hard because we were in a small room, so we never had to present LOUD to where we had to yell, presenting I'm the courtyard and the school cafe was somewhat difficult because we had to project our voices out loud, because since it was a HUGE area, there could be a lot of people. But the ones in the back, should also be included and able to hear you speak so we had to present with a loud and clear voice for everyone to understand, and have close attention to. Honestly, i enjoyed this assignment.
