Welcome Social

This week was great. Our new job was Id's. my group and I came before 7:15 this whole week, and helped students get new or another id for school. Also, we had to seperate and fold our leadership yellow ts by size and separate welcome socials prizes, to make it look organized. we had to prepare for welcome social. We set up everything for it, and got our very own jobs. For example, my job was to set up music, like the speakers and connecting wires and making sure the music was working well and to play the playlist for welcome social. Also, during our period one, we had to pack 50 groups of different types of candy as prizes for the students if they won something for w.s

My highlight of the week was being able to feel like we welcomed back everyone and completing ALL tasks. Today, was welcome social. The objective was making sure we welcomed them back and for them to have they're most fun. I feel like, we did exactly what we had to do because I saw all smiles and laughters. And we all have completed our tasks. For an example, period one and I finished our tasks easily and Taylor and I worked well with doing music today. We really never had much difficulties this week but one of my lowlights of the week was not knowing what way to fill out the paper for Id's. At first I put first name then last name, but I actually had to put last then first. so we ended up writing over it in bold, but we shouldn't have. But I learned from it.

My lesson learned for the week was look or read before you do it. if I looked at how the other names was written on the paper attached to the folder, ( for Id's ) then maybe I wouldn't have made a mistake, but instead I jus went on and wrote it .. but now I have learned from it and know what to do, when this job comes back to us. Another thing I learned was working together is always better. when I work with people, things get done way easier and faster. And that's what I like about it because I learn and have less trouble.

summary of the week

This whole week was okay. We had a new job, which was Ilima TV. We had to come early before 7:15 so we can do the tv intros. and do the setup, so that we know what to do and that it's done before the students got to class. Also, we had a leadership reunion of 2014, it was where all the past leadership classmates shared something they kept or remembered from they're years back then at Ilima. And created so much laughter and fun. later that night, we had open house. All we did was stand around, waiting for any questions to come to us and greetings. Also, we had to create our welcome social flyers that can be posted up, and student will be able to see and probably would be interested.

My highlight of the week was getting closer to everyone and being able to come early. Usually, i wouldn't be comfortable telling everyone things but after I realized about how close we were getting, i felt like I could now. Also, I wouldn't be able to come early because late wake ups or my parents, but it's not they're fault ! So I chose to change that somehow, and it did. My lowlight of the week, was having to see my group and I struggling on somethings, especially
Friday. We had done many mistakes that day, but we shouldn't have.

My lesson learned of the week was do things ahead of time, and focus on what you do! I think this is exactly what I learned throughout the week because this first time or week of doing tv, didn't go so well. we had some mistakes, like having the mic turned on, intros being shown up on tv, and the order of the announcements we say. Intros should've been done before the actual day we go on tv, so we know for sure it works, and we should know that reminders are always after the other announcements that are similar, it just kills it. Also, our bodies and faces made us look boring, so next time we need to smile and sit up straight because were the ones representing the whole school, but this week has been okay. and now I've learned from my mistakes

New week, New job

This week started off good. We rotated jobs and our new jobs for my group was TV and lunch music that we all had to participate in, Presented our last parts of our bio cubes in the cafe and courtyard as a practice and preparation for later to see how it's like. Also we had to create flyers that included everything on the checklist like name, date, etc..

Assignment Blog #1

This assignment blog will be all about our Personal bio cubes. These bio cubes first started off with write-ups for our sides, had of course six sides that included.. our background, personality, significance,
obstacles, quotation, and a picture of ourselves. The background side is about us, and what we like to do, personality side is what we are and things to explain or relate to us, significance side is what really matters and what's important to you, obstacles side is an explanation of what distracts you and what is always in you're way, and the quotation side is a quote that relates to ourselves and an explanation why it does. And of course our own picture of us. So this whole bio cube pretty much explains all about us as ourselves.

My highlight of this assignment was getting to be creative. we first had to put together a box, and use any color paper for each side.. I used bright neon colors and glued it all together. Then we had to glue our typed paragraphs that explained everything on each side and after all that was completed.. we had a choice of taping all around it or not, but I chose to so that it lasts longer and so it looks neater. My lowlight of this assignment, was having a hard time cutting and taping. When i was cutting the squares out, it was either crooked or not the right measurement so if always have to do it all over again so that I'm able to cover each part of the box so it's not shown. Also, taping was a little difficulty for me because as I taped it and pressed on, air bubbles would start to show and it made my bio cube look ugly but yet it was still completed. So what can be changed is the way i tape it, because i could've went along as i tape it down, and to maybe add more details to my paragrpahs because some of my paragraphs were small but could've had alittle more details.

My lesson learned for this assignment is to always put effort into every asignment that we do because everything that we do is graded and all of others see what WE do. I'm sure we all wouldn't want our things to look ghetto with no effort because it'll either look like we didn't care about what we did, or that we were rushing on this assignment. honestly I wasn't, but I could've redone it because my taping ended up havin air bubbles in it which made my bio look unclean, but I'm glad that it was at least completed and this is what I learned from this assignment.

Glo 1 is self directed learner, we had to do our assignment without being told and turned in ON TIME. glo 2 is community contributor, when we presented it to the class or group, we had to respect other presentations and pay full attention.  glo 3 is complex thinker, we had to try things on our own, so we had to make sure that we were able to use multiple strategies and do our assignment responsibly. glo 4 is quality producer, meaning that our assignment had to be reliable and very understandable for others to recognize. glo 5 is effective communicator, so we had to make sure we were an effective listener for each presentation and expressed our ideas well.  and glo 6 is effective and ethical use of technology, also meaning that we were able to use the technology for example, printer and computer responsibly and safely. To me, I applied this all well enough to this assignment.

We presented our bio cubes in many ways. We first presented our bio cubes in the classroom ( A-101 ) it wasn't that hard because we were in a small room, so we never had to present LOUD to where we had to yell, presenting I'm the courtyard and the school cafe was somewhat difficult because we had to project our voices out loud, because since it was a HUGE area, there could be a lot of people. But the ones in the back, should also be included and able to hear you speak so we had to present with a loud and clear voice for everyone to understand, and have close attention to. Honestly, i enjoyed this assignment.

2nd week of school

this week was great. throughout this whole week, we of course went to all classes and my group and I had to be at school by 7:15, to work the music for the mornings and wiki. we were able to learn how things work and had to talk on the mic for the morning announcements to people were updated. we had also, delivered picture taking forms to each class in the school. it has been a great start so far, and I actually enjoy coming to school now

my highlight of the week was being able to learn new things and being able to meet new people. learning new things is great because at least we know something, and that we all have something to say when someone asks if we learned something new. also, meeting new people is great because there will always be friends all around us, if we ever loose one. And it makes ourselves and others feel like we're friendly.

What I've learned throughout this whole week, is to always clean up after yourselfs and not make others do it for you! this week, some of the leadership classmates had drinks, food, trash, etc.. Sitting around like it was a dumpster, when it's not. and also, to be straight up with others. I guess that I'm being way too nice to everyone and letting them get away with things, when they shouldn't because of many reason. but I know exactly what to do now. And lastly, to always use yellow vests to let the whole school know that we are leadership classmates. and we're given permission to leave the classroom.

The Week Of Being Back To School

For this whole week, the leadership classmates and I had came early for
School, starting off with Monday.. we had to be there because it was the 7th graders first day, and we had to help them and gave out planners. Also, for our first day * 8th graders * (: We had to set up mic's for the chapter 19 assembly that everyone had to attend. Lastly, we had assigned jobs.. Period one and I were assigned Music for the morning and wiki, we ALL had to say announcements within time.

My highlight of the week was finally being back to school, not just because summer wasn't all that, but because I've met a lot of people throughout the whole week in the courtyard and in our new periods. I finally got to reunite with those who i knew or remembered! And also, was being able to see our teachers again who actually take the time to teach us everyday, and I've already learned some stuff within this week ! My lowlight of the week, was slowing down on punching the plan on Id's because my hand was sore, but i can always improve on that.

What I've learned throughout this week, was to never give up on what you're doing. I've noticed that if I were to give up on my job, things would go by slower and way harder.. which isn't a good thing for anyone. Just like punching the schools id, my hand was sore which was slowing me down, i felt like giving up, but I didn't and I knew it wasn't the right thing. But I know that I can get through the things I do faster if I do things the right and easier way, which is to NOT slow myself down. Looking foward to another or a lot of other good weeks (:
